Honour guard services

Honour guard services

The Palace Guards is responsible for providing honour guard services.

It is mobilised during official events at the Prince’s Palace, such as official visits, the presentation of credentials, military reviews and of course receptions.

It is also called upon to move around the Principality for specific events such as the Festival of St. Devota (the Patron Saint of Monaco), new sessions of the Courts, military honours ceremonies and to pay tribute to the deceased.

On these occasions, the Palace Guards wear ceremonial dress, but first and foremost perform their various security roles.
